Ceramics: Dramatically Constructed Vases with Carol Zee

Schedule: Friday - Sunday, December 9 - 11 (Friday from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm)

Level: Intermediate (some handbuilding experience)

Tuition: $170 Member / $250 Non-Member

Class Description: For people with prior experience with hand building techniques, this will be an exciting new experience. In this three day weekend workshop, artist Carol Zee will guide you through the process of hand building a dramatic vase. Carol developed this unique style of hand built form and her work has been exhibited at the Donkey Mill and at the Hawaii Statewide Craftsmen Show.

Your vase will be fired and glazed at the Donkey Mill and will be ready to be picked within 2 weeks after the workshop. Special tools will be made available for use during the workshop by the instructor.

Supply fee includes:  Use of the studio facilities and tools, 25# bag of clay, glazes, and kiln firings.

Students should bring:  Lunch
