Metals Open Studio Hours

Description

Schedule:

Thurdays 9:00am-1:00pm

Open Studio is an opportunity to continue learning at your own pace, using specialized equipment and tools available at the Donkey Mill.

To attend an open studio session, you must be a Donkey Mill Art Center member who has attended a class or workshop at the Donkey Mill in the medium within the past two years. Currently enrolled students in Ceramics, Metals, or Print receive complimentary open studio time for the duration of their class.

When not enrolled in a class, students may purchase open studio passes for:

  • $15 per day
  • $65 for a five-session pass

Please keep in mind that open studio time is not time for instruction, but gives you access to tools and equipment to finish your projects and practice your skills outside of class time. Open Studio participants are responsible for knowing and following all Donkey Mill policies, and for using only the tools and equipment they have been trained to use

Studio assistants are often present during Open Studio hours to monitor, set up and manage tools and equipment, ensure safe practices and sell supplies; enabling students to work at their own pace and under their own direction. While they are present to support students, Studio Assistants are not responsible for providing instruction or assistance with student's work.
