The Donkey Mill Art Center is serving up its 12th annual Cool Fusion: Festival of 1000 Bowls, featuring oodles of noodles, handmade ceramic ware, live performances by Kona Dance and Performing Arts, Big Island Music Academy, and more!  And did we mention gelato? The event will be held at Keauhou Shopping Center on Saturday, September 22 from 11am - 2pm. Here’s how it works: get a ticket, find a bowl (or does it find you?) among the 1000+ made specially for the occasion and fill ‘er up with an onolicious lunch of homemade somen noodles. If there’s room in your dessert drawer—when isn’t there?—purchase a handmade gelato bowl and receive a ticket for a scoop of Kealakekua’s own Gypsea Gelato = YUM.

$25 ticket purchase includes unlimited somen noodles and a bowl (valued up to $15) of your choosing. For an additional fee, purchase a gelato bowl priced at $15 and up and receive a generous scoop of refreshing gelato.

If you’re not entirely bowled over, additional handmade ceramic items will be on hand to further tempt you to decorate your home, treat a friend, foe or total stranger to a one-of-a-kind creation for as little as $15 on up to catch the eye of enthusiast and collector alike. Come feast your eyes on the broad selection of ceramics lovingly made by talented artists from near and afar, all of whom will all vouch for the difference you can make in supporting the arts with your purchase. Rub elbows with our Cool Fusion devotees who return each year to add to their cherished troves. It’s never too late to start your own collection, so come early and hungry!
